Good afternoon,
We are reaching out to extend a courtesy notification that we will be closed Thanksgiving Day, 11/25. Business will resume as normal on Friday, 11/26.
Because the holidays are one of the busiest times of year for criminals, we would also like to provide you with a few tips to stay cyber-safe this season:- Beware of email scams, as hackers know people will be looking for sales and tracking information for packages.
- Try not to open websites from links within an email, choose to go through your browser instead. Type in web addresses or tracking numbers on the affiliated website.
- Try to use a credit card to make purchases, and check card statements regularly to ensure there are no fraudulent transactions.
- Make sure your donations are going to help a good cause by authenticating charity organizations on the IRS website
- Use different, lengthy passwords for each website. If login information is the same for many different accounts, it will be easy to breach all even if a hacker only initially has access to one. Password managers like LastPass help secure and manage all of your information so you don't have to.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving,
The Security First IT Team |
