Subject: Friend, what's the latest?

Hey Friend,

So, I found out about this neat little thing that you can do with google and your emails, if you have a Gmail account (it might work with other emails but I'm not sure).

So what you can do is set up your gmail account to receive the top 10 emails that mention "anything you want" during the previous week.

And that "anything you want" can be.....anything you want.

For example, since I'm so interested in fasting, that's what I've chosen for google to scour the internet for for me.

And every Saturday, I get the top 10 articles or stories that mention fasting in some way, shape or form.

Here's a few pictures of the articles that were sent to me this week:

As you can see, there are quite a few articles on the benefits of fasting, including reducing your risk of cancer, treating diabetes, its lifesaving potential, etc.

And then there are some articles that go into specifics on famous people who fast or articles like the last one from Dr. Mindy Pelz, which was my favorite, talks about how as children we were raised to eat at certain times and not when we were hungry, as it should be, right?

  Isn't that fascinating?

If we think about it, the only reason that we sit down for dinner is probably for the social aspect of sitting together, asking how each person's day was, etc.

Never taking into account if we are truly hungry. And if we are, is it just because we've trained our brains and bodies to expect food at that time every day?

What about breakfast? Is everyone hungry for breakfast? Or do a lot of people eat it because they were told it was the most important meal of the day? Or becacuse they trained their brains and thier bodies to expect to eat upon waking and before going to work/school, etc.

The other article that intriguesd me the most was "When you eat may impact your overall health, Nutrition experts say."

WHEN you eat, not WHAT you eat.

Yes, of course eating processed foods with very little nutritional value is not a good idea.

But let's say you eat relatively healthy. Then maybe it's time to start looking at when you eat, or more specifically when you DON'T eat, when it comes to being as healthy and disease free as you can be.

Does this stuff make you stop and think for a second, Friend?

  It certainly does for me.

So many things regarding nutrition that we've been told and believed over the last 30, 40, 50+ years, are turning out to be untrue.

The hard part for a lot people with this news about fasting is....fasting.

They get all of these thoughts about starving and being miserable and having no energy, etc.

The ironic part about all of that is that it's all not true.

The opposite actually happens.

It's why I'm running my 5 Day Fat Loss Challenge starting today.
