  TGIF! Yes, another week in the books. My wife and I were just saying, "Wasn't it Friday just a couple of days ago"? The one thing we can't ever slow down, or speed up, or change in any way, shape or form...TIME.


  Speaking of which, 2022 is just around the corner. And to say the last couple of years have been a little whacky is an understatement, right? I feel like I've lost a few years of my life. When someone asks me if something happened last year or the year before, I have a hard time remembering. Damn COVID has my mind all twisted.


  But one thing I do know for sure that I have control over is my health. Granted, I can't make sure with 100% certainty that I won't get Covid, but I can do everything in my power to fight off all of the other negative health consequences that sometimes come with aging.


 And do you know what's one of the worst predictors of bad health as we get older?


Being overweight.


Yup, being overweight has been found to be the culprit of MANY, MANY health negatives. High Blood Pressure, high cholesterol, blood sugar level, inflammation, etc. The list goes on and on.


But getting back to the new year approaching. Have you ever given thought to taking care of yourself? I mean really taking care of yourself. Going all in and doing a 180 on your health and well-being? For me, it's the only way I know how to live my life. I wouldn't have it any other way.


But I know for many people, that's not the case. Maybe you're raising a family and the last thing you have time for is yourself. That's a mistake by the way. There's always time if you make time. It's absolutely possible to do both. If you're not healthy though, how can you raise a healthy family? What kind of example are you setting if you're 20, 30, 40+ lbs overweight?
