Subject: Friend, what is the #1 goal, the end result you're looking for?

Hey Friend,

So, another weekend is upon us.

  Any good plans?

I'll be visiting a friend at the beach.

Swimming, eating, maybe drinking a little, etc.

  Food, friends, family, laughter, etc.

Doesn't get better than that in my opinion.

Which brings me to the point of today's email.

I'm going to switch gears here for a second and ask you a question.

What actually is the point of life?

Don't worry, I'm not going to get all hokey pokey here Friend.

What I mean is, what do we, as human beings, want from life?

It's probably a different answer for each person, but I think most of us want to be happy, healthy, have a roof over our head and clothes on our back, right?

I know we can get more extravagant than that and want things like a vacation home and a luxury car and a beautiful wardrobe, etc.

But let's take out the material items and go back to the first two I mentioned; to be happy and healthy.

If you have those 2 things, you don't really need anything else, right?

As the famous saying goes, if you don't have your health, you don't have anything.

  Ain't that the truth!

If you've been reading my emails over the last few months, you'll see that I've talked a lot more about being healthy and not as much about weight loss.

Don't get me wrong though, I think weight loss is actually a big part of being healthy.

It's hard to be 20+ pounds overweight and still be healthy. I know it's possible, but it's usually not the case.

Do you think that being in good shape, exercising regularly, not being overweight, having some lean muscle is going to help to make someone "happy and healthy"?

  I certainly do.

And when we think of NUTRITION, doesn't that word, in and of itself, conjure up images of health? Good or bad?

  I think it does.

But how do we know if what and how we're eating is making us healthy?

Is it fruits, vegetables and lean proteins that we should be eating?

Is it making sure everything is organic?

Is it cutting out all processed foods and high fructose corn syrup and sed oils, etc.

I think the list can go on and on.

And one of the newest findings that's being talked about to help with our health AND our longevity is....fasting.

That turns everything that we've come to know abou thealth upside down, doesn't it?!?!

No longer is it about what to eat (fruits, veggies, protein, etc.) or how much to eat (1,500 calories, 2,000 calories, 3,000 calories, etc.).

Now it's about not eating at all! (at least for a certain period of time).

The simple fact is that most people know what foods are not going to help us lose weight or make us healthier or help us live longer...so we stay away from those foods as much as we can.

And even though that might not be easy to do all the time ( a lot of those foods have addictive chemicals in them), a lot of people at least know they shouldn't be eating them.

Why is it then that most of the U.S. population isn't as quick to accept fasting and give it a try? Especially if it's been proven to do so many wonderful things for our bodies and minds?

I think part of it is that people are still skeptical of it.

And the other part is that many people are intimidated by it or afraid of it. They don't think they can do it. They think it would be torture. They get images and thoughts in their head that they will never eat again.

I think most of those people would be shocked though if they gave it a try. Not only at how easy it is, but how great it would make them feel.

Not to mention the weight loss that comes along with it.

Which brings me back to being healthy and happy.

Isn't that the end goal for just about everything we do in life?

Trying to make more money? Why? Because you'll be able to buy things or pay for your kids college or retire early, etc. And all of those things would make you happy, right?

Trying to lose weight? Why? Because you'll look better, feel better, move better and you'll be healthier. All of which will make you happier, right?

So you see Friend, that's what all of this comes down to.

  Happy and Healthy.

If you can go through your life being happy (most of the time) and healthy, that sounds like a pretty good life to me.

And since fasting produces major weight loss, as well as helping to fight off major diseases like cancer, alzheimer's, dementia, etc. which results in you being healthier, it's the holy grail as far as I'm concerned.

And that's why I will promote fasting until the day I die (hopefully that will be in the triple digits for me)!

It's too awesome to not do it and take advantage of the incredible benefits it comes with.

Happy and Healthy Friend, happy and healthy.

What are you doing to bring more of those feelings into your life?

Kevin

P.S. Denise knew she wanted to be healthier, and she knew that losing weight was going to be a big part of that:
“I want to thank you for this program! I have done so many diets over the years and this one just makes me feel good. It’s definitely a lifestyle for me now and it’s not a diet. Spring has always been my favorite time of the year but the last couple of years the thought of putting on less clothing stressed me out horribly. Not this spring! The self-confidence and self-control I have learned over the last couple of weeks outweighs the 21 pound weight loss on the scale. Thanks again Kevin!”
