Based on research by Italian-American biologist Dr. Valter Longo and other field experts, the film’s synopsis reads: Fasting and the Longevity Revolution travels from tiny villages in Calabria and Sardinia to cities like Milan, Genoa, and Los Angeles, and into the mountains of southern Ecuador to reveal that genetic mutations, fasting, or both can make simple organisms live 10 times longer and protect humans from cancer, diabetes, dementia and heart disease.
The NY TIMES ran an article about him and how he was a big proponent of fasting. I actually wrote about Dr. Valter Longo in one of my newsletters a few months ago, shortly after reading the article in the Times about him.
In my newsletter, as I've mentioned before, I said how so many of the European countries are much more open to fasting because they know all of the incredible benefits it brings. Sadly, the U.S. is still way behind when it comes to fasting, and I think that's because of money. There's no money to be made from it. At least that's what these food companies think.
I think the smartest thing a food company can do is talk about how great fasting is and then say, "But you can't fast the rest of your life all the time. So when you're not fasting, try our organic, fresh chicken with no antibiotics or hormones, etc., etc. Or something along those lines. You get my point, right Friend?
Well, I can't begin to tell you how excited I am that there is going to be a documentary, narrated by a well known actor, about the benefits of fasting.
I hope it finally sheds some light to the country on how great fasting is, for so many reasons.
No word yet on when it is going to be released or if it will be in the movie theaters or go straight to Netflix or another streaming service.
But I will be sure to keep you updated.
In the meantime, start fasting now if you haven't started already!

P.S. Amanda couldn't believe the flexibility of eating like this until she tried my program, Built To Fast. Look what she had to say:
“I recently completed the 8 week program. I learned so much and it was far less complicated than ANY other plan I have ever done (against the 5 well known ones that are currently on the market). The model is simple but the best parts about it, is if I swerved off, I could get right back on and see progress right away!! During the 8 weeks, I lost over 10 lbs. But, it wasn't about the loss of pounds for me- I lost 2 dress sizes along with my 'mom' belly that I have had since giving birth to my son (3 years ago) And have since kept it
off. My addiction or need for food, every 2 hours is GONE!! It has completely changed my relationship with food. This has been the only plan that I feel I can keep on going and will continue to see progress. Even my husband wants in!”
