Hey Friend,
Have you ever been doing really well with your eating and been in a groove and everything is firing on all cylinders and then BAM..you “ruin it”?
I did that this past weekend.
I wouldn’t say it was a total bust but I was away with some family members over the weekend and I definitely ate some foods that would not be considered “healthy”.
So what do I do now?
Well, I could beat myself up over it, get really upset and have a miserable couple of days.
Or I could forget about it, be glad that I enjoyed it while it happened and move on.
Which will benefit me in the long run?
I believe the latter will....big time.
So that’s what I’m doing.
I’m forgetting about it, and get right back to my “normal” eating routine today.
And I will not stress at all over it.
And the world will go on.
And guess what? This will probably happen again in the future. I’m not sure when.
Maybe Christmas Eve?
And once again, I won’t stress over it.
I did prepare a little bit for my splurge this past weekend though.
On Saturday, I extended my intermittent fasting and didn’t eat my first meal until 2:30 in the afternoon.
And for Christmas, I will probably do something very similar.
Or maybe I'll do a little 'F.A.T.' the day before?
Regardless of whether or not your ‘prepare’ for future ‘binges’, doesn’t matter all that much.
They will happen, they are a part of life and you should enjoy them.
And as i've always said, it's not the holiday eating that contributes to your expanding waistline...it's what you do all of the other days.
What I mean by that is just be sure to not let a day of bad eating snowball into a few days or a few weeks.
That is the key Friend.
Enjoy that day or that meal of eating and get back to your normal routine ASAP.
Kevin
