Hey Friend,
I saw online yesterday a fitness trainer was promoting her new weight loss program that comes with "recipes and sample meal plans".
And it made me think for a second....is that really valuable to someone or was she offering that to make it look like her program comes with more "stuff". Stuff that in reality either no one really needs or stuff that anyone can get on line for free in this day and age.
Let's think about it for a second.
With sample meal plans, is she giving the same meal plan to someone who weighs 250 pounds as she is to someone who weighs 150 pounds? If so, that would be a total waste to both of those people.
And how does she know about their food allergies, likes/dislikes, activity level, etc.
And what about recipes? Again, this sounds good on paper but can't anyone just get THOUSANDS of recipes online for free?
The answer is YES.
So both of those things have ZERO value.
Z.E.R.O!
But to the unsuspecting public, those things get thrown into the program and create the illusion that the program 'comes with so much' so it must be valuable.
And that is a huge misconception Friend, and one that is so common in the weight loss world.
I call it smoke and mirrors.
Let's give everyone a bunch of stuff so it looks valuable.
It's kind of like the trainers who train people for an hour even though the workout can and should be done in 45 minutes.
"The longer the session, the more valuable it is, right?"
No.
In fact, the opposite is probably truer in most cases.
Less is more.
Especially in the weight loss world.
Don't give me recipes, sample meal plans, eating out guides and the calorie counts of each food, etc. and tell me they are valuable when in reality....
#1, I don't need them to lose weight and #2, they are free and I can get them within seconds by doing a simple Google search.
Don't you just want the nuts and bolts with how to lose weight Friend?
I would think so.
That's what I've tried to do with my F.A.T. Method program (there's a name change coming soon by the way :).
And I've been very successful in doing that.
Less is more.
Less thinking. Less reading. Less tracking (no tracking actually).
Kevin
P.S. You can still sign up for my latest F.A.T. Method program. We just started yesterday and I always allow a few 'late comers' into the party. But it's gotta be today! Reply to this email and get started ASAP.
