As I've talked about before, fasting is an unbelievable way to not just lose weight, but improve your health as well (BIG TIME!).
Decrease in blood pressure, decrease in inflammation, increase in energy, increase in memory, etc. to name a few.
But it's taking the good ole' USA a long time to grasp this idea.
"Why", might you ask?
"If it's so incredible, how can doctors not be shouting about it from the rooftops"?
One word comes to mind.
MONEY.
But there are other countries that have gotten on board and are not letting their bank accounts get in the way.
Think about how certain chemicals in the foods we eat are banned in other countries, but not here in the U.S.
It's really sad and quite disturbing.
But as I said, other countries are a little bit ahead of us in this department.
Take Dr Deepak Krishnamurthy, Head of the Department, Interventional Cardiology, Kauvery Hospital, Marathahalli, Bengaluru, India for example.
See what he has to say about fasting:
"One of the best means to improve longevity is eating less and fasting. Fasting increases lipolysis and thereby reduces body fat, especially visceral fat, reducing insulin resistance. Effects of fasting will be different for different people because each person has a different metabolic rate and a different level of body fat," Dr Krishnamurthy told IndiaToday.In.

There are a few of us here in the U.S. that are preaching the benefits of fasting (I'm one of them!).
I'm going to keep preaching it until I am proven otherwise that it's not a healthy way to live.
Heck, I'm even coming out with a water you can drink while fasting called FASTwater!
