So what have I been preaching for years?
IT'S NOT WHAT YOU EAT THAT HELPS YOU LOSE WEIGHT, IT'S WHAT YOU DON'T EAT.
Let's put this into context.
Let's say Person A eats lots of ice cream, potato chips, cookies and other heavily processed foods.
If that's the case, they are probably overweight.
Sorry, but that's probably the truth.
Now let's say Person B eats mainly lean proteins, fruits, vegetables and almost no processed foods.
They are probably not overweight.
Ok, so now Person A starts eating lean proteins, fruits, veggies, etc. because they were told that those are the foods that will "help them lose weight".
BUT PERSON A DOES NOT stop eating the ice cream, potato chips, cookies, etc.
Will they lose weight?
Of course not!
BUT...will they lose weight if they stop eating or at least cut back on the ice cream, potato chips, cookies, etc.?
OF COURSE THEY WILL.
Weight loss is so unbelievably simple when you realize and grasp what I just explained to you.
There are no special weight loss foods.
There is no special diet.
There are no rules like you can't eat after 7:00 pm or breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
If that simple phrase of '.....it's what you don't eat that helps you lose weight' really sinks in, you will never have to seek out another diet or weight loss trick ever again.
