Hey Friend,
I just came across another fitness trainer that posted that they were giving away a 'fat loss' grocery cheat sheet.
I can guess what's on that sheet:
Fruits, vegetables, lean protein, healthy fats, maybe some dairy like cottage cheese, yogurt, etc.
And what's probably not on the sheet are things like potato chips, cookies, ice cream, etc.
This is one of the big problems I see in the weight loss industry.
People are putting out stuff that sounds great but has no real value.
Yeah, wouldn't it be great to have a cheat sheet filled with magical foods that will help you lose weight when you eat them?
Of course, sign me up, right!
But thses types of things don't exist.
It's just another creation in a long line of 'shiny objects' that, like I said, sound good but don't have much value.
And maybe this trainer thinks it is valuable.
But I'd like to share something that I think is important when it comes to weight loss, that maybe this trainer doesn't know...
#1) it's not the foods that you are eating that are helping you lose weight, it's the foods you are no longer eating.
#2) anyone can actually lose weight while still eating potato chips, ice cream, etc.. Obviously those aren't very "healthy" choices and shouldn't be eaten all the time, but they can certainly be eaten occasionally and you can still lose weight while having them as part of your eating plan.
That's the basis of my F.A.T. Method program and we go into this specifically about how it's not what you eat but what you DON'T eat that will help you lose weight (we go into greater detail).
We also go into the timing of when you eat, which ultimately has a very big impact on whether you struggle to lose weight or "it just melts off of you" (that was a quote from one of our members).
