Hey Friend,
Don’t eat.
That’s it, that's your proper detox.
Well, kind of.
Let me explain a little.
Detoxes were very popular years ago and are still somewhat popular.
Go on to Amazon and look at all of the detoxes you can buy.
Teas, powders, capsules, etc.
I find it so ironic that people detox by putting stuff INTO their bodies.
And on top of that, it’s stuff that is packaged or bottled up!
Seems like quite an oxymoron to me.
A detox is ‘to rid the body of poisonous substances”.
Years ago, this meant to get someone off of an alcohol or drug addiction.
But in today’s day and age, most poeple who detox are doing it to cleanse their bodies of impure food and liquid.
What gets me though is that most people who detox will drink their teas and powders (which are man made) and then see no issue with eating and drinking more boxed and packaged foods.
Do you see the irony here?
So here’s some advice. If you are someone who eats food that is boxed or packaged and you want to cleanse your body by “detoxing” it, start by cutting out all boxed, packaged, processed and fake food.
Then your next step would be to eliminate sugar from your diet.
Once you’ve done that, my next step would be to fast for an extended period of time.
That’s one of the best “detoxes” you can do for your body.
If you don’t know what a fast is, it’s not eating any food or having anything to drink (except water) for an extended period of time (more on that in the P.S. below).
How long? I would first start with a 24 hour fast.
So let’s say your last meal of the day is dinner at 6:00 pm. You would do a 24 hour fast by not eating again until dinner time the next day.
So part of that fast is occuring while you sleep.
It’s really not that difficult.
And it does wonders for your body.
Some benefits of fasting include:
improves mental clarity
improves immunity
increases energy
gives the digestive sysytem a rest and all the energy that is normally used daily by our digestive systems to break down foods, beverages, toxins, fats, sugars, now gets used to actual cleansing, detoxifiying, and repairing of our vital organs, cells, and tissues.
And much, much more.
Do a quick Google search to see all of the other benefits.
