Hey Friend,
I'll cut right to the chase.
The other day on Facebook I saw a fitness trainer post a video telling people that they needed to make sure they ate a variety of nutrients and that their plate was full of "color" in order to lose weight.
I am here to tell you that is 100% false.
There is nothing true about that statement.
Is it a good idea to eat a variety of nutrients and to have more color on your plate, like orange carrots, red peppers, green broccoli, etc? Yes, of course it is.
But can I eat 1 Twinke every 3 hours and probably lose weight?
Yes I can.
It might not be the healthiest way to live, but I will certainly lose weight.
If you think about that for a minute, and let it sink in, I hope you understand that.
And I hope it also helps you to understand how weight loss actually works.
It's not nearly as complicated as most fitness trainers make it seem.
But I think they make it seem that way because they want you to think you can't do it on your own.
But what it really comes down to is, as the old saying goes, calories in vs calories out.
And yes, there are different ways of eating less calories.
Most coaches and trainers have their clients cut back on their calories by counting their calories, tracking their macros, following a meal plan and even weighing and measuring their food.
Forgive me when I say this, but that sounds AWFUL!
What I do with my people is have them fast for certain periods of time. And we do that in all different ways for all different lengths of time and we do it so it fits in with their schedule.
Sure, we go over what they are eating, when they are eating, how much they are eating...but we do that to complement the fasting. Not as the main driver of health and weight loss.
Are my people successful?
Over 700 people have gone through my program and the weight loss is dramatic.
I also have my BUILT TO FAST program running in close to 100 gyms all across the U.S. And the total number of people that have gone through the program is over 3,000.
None of them count calories. None of them track their macros. And none of them weigh or measure their food.
Oh, and they don't worry too much about a 'variety' of nutrients or how much color they have on their plate.
These things happen by default because of how/what kinds of food they start craving once they start fasting (yes, that happens!).
And the health benefits they are getting from fasting are second to none.
Eating 4-5 meals a day is the opposite of what health really is. Your insulin levels are always spiked, your digestive system never gets a break, you never experince autophagy (the elimination of dead cells to make room for new healthy ones).
So no Friend, you don't need a variety of nutrients or a colorful plate to lose weight. Is it healthy? Yes. Necessary for weight loss? No.
Reply back to this email if you'd like more info on my program.
It will change your life in ways that you never even knew about.
I promise you.
