Hey Friend,
Are you REALLY ready to lose weight?
I’ve talked about this before.
People telling me all the time that they want to lose weight.
They tell me how they can’t stand the fact that they are so big.
My clothes are so tight. I’m so sick of this. If only I could lose 10 pounds, etc.
By the sounds of it, you would think that they would do anything to lose weight.
But unfortunately that just doesn’t happen.
Why not?
Well, the harsh truth is that these people like eating and not exercising more than they like being slim and “in good shape”.
But they’ll scream from the rooftops that they want noting more than to lose 10, 15, 20 pounds.
But remember, action speaks louder than words.
Fitness, and more specifically weight loss, starts in your mind. Ask any athlete or fit person what the number one secret is to his/her success at fitness or managing their weight is, and they will tell you it is commitment.
Commitment means that you are in it for the long haul.
Commitment rises above bad days, hectic schedules and emotional eating. Commitment hangs in there when you don’t want to do it, when you don’t feel like doing it and when you
don’t have time to do it.
True commitment doesn’t depend on how you feel. It depends on your integrity and on living for the purpose you have set for yourself.
Are you committed to get fit?
Are you committed to losing weight?
No Weekend Warriors.
Committing to be fit eliminates the weekend warrior syndrome.
You may know a weekend warrior. She is the person who does little physical exercise during the week, eats salads when they are out to eat but when the weekend arrives, she blasts out of
the gate like a stallion on Derby Day. In a desperate attempt to make up for her sedentary behavior all week, she goes to the gym or hits the pavement, pushing herself to the limit.
The result, however, is not what she expects.
Following a healthy eating and exercising plan 5 day a week isn’t going to cut it.
Because you are not committed.
Physical fitness and weight loss depends on consistency.
And consistency requires commitment. It takes consistent, near-daily commitment to your nutrition and fitness to cause your body to make the changes that bring about true health.
For example, your joints and tendons will strengthen, your aerobic base will improve as your body becomes more efficient at utilizing oxygen and ridding itself of carbon dioxide, and your endurance will increase.
In fact, that you do something consistently is as important, or maybe even more important, than what you actually do. Even if you are just doing low intensity walking, doing it every day is infinitely better than doing something more strenuous only occasionally.
As I like to say, a mediocre training program done consistently, beats a great training program done inconsistently.
But the real rewards come when you not only commit to your nutrition. and that's what I teach in my F.A.T. Method program, more specifically, my S.E.O Nutrition plan.
Commit
In order to get fit, you do not need expensive workout clothes, fancy home-gym equipment or a complicated workout plan.
What you need is commitment. If you are committed, and you are following the S.E.O Nutrition plan the rest of the pieces will fall into place.
You can start today. Don’t overthink this. Just start, and commit to doing something every single day.
