The announcement was made by WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus. His full comments can be found HERE.


On Tuesday, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) declared the growing monkey pox outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries constitutes a “public health emergency of continental security”.
