Spanish police say the package sent to the Ukrainian embassy burst into flames when opened. This package was addressed to Ukraine’s ambassador to Spain.
Spanish EOD specialists preempted the suspicious letter discovered at the US Embassy.
Suspicious letters / packages were also sent to Spain’s Defense Ministry, a satellite ground station at Torrejón de Ardoz air base outside Madrid, as well as an arms factory.
