US embassies worldwide on heightened alert following call for Muslims to hold a global "day of rage" on 10/13 in support of the Palestinians. More via email.

Supplemental Info:

Former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal (2004 to 2017) has called on the Islamic world to stage the protests in support of Palestinians on Friday, and is urging Arabs in neighboring countries to join "the battle" against Israel.

"Send a message from the streets and squares. A message of rage that we stand with Palestine, Gaza, Al-Aqsa mosque, and Jerusalem, and that we are part of this battle."

“To all scholars who teach jihad … to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application [of jihad]."

Multiple US embassies have issued security alerts regarding upcoming demonstrations, including Malaysia, Iraq, Turkey, and Jordan, with more expected to follow in the coming hours.

Widespread demonstrations / counter-demonstrations are also expected in major metropolitan areas and on university campuses across the US and Europe.

Increased caution and vigilance are urged.
