Location: Stockholm, Sweden


The U.S. Embassy in Sweden advises U.S. citizens to exercise caution in the area around the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm. The U.S. Embassy has received an increase in unfavorable communications via various formats (mail, e-mails, phone calls, etc.), including general threats of violence against the United States.


U.S. government personnel are advised to exercise heightened awareness in the area around the U.S. Embassy.


The U.S. Embassy in Sweden also reminds U.S. citizens to exercise general caution while attending large events or frequenting public venues. The terrorist threat level in Sweden remains elevated since the Swedish Security Service raised the threat level to 4 out of 5.


Suspicious activity should be reported to the relevant authorities.
