Security Alert – Exercise Caution Near Embassy of Israel

March 22, 2024


Location: Johan de Wittlaan 5, The Hague


Event: On March 21, an individual threw a Molotov cocktail at the building containing the Embassy of Israel and was taken into custody. The embassy is located at Johan de Wittlaan 5, a building which also contains other businesses. As previously reported, extra security measures have been in place around the building since early February. As a result of the March 21 event, U.S. Mission personnel again have been advised to exercise caution in the immediate area until the security measures are relaxed.

  • Exercise caution in the immediate area of Johan de Wittlaan 5, The Hague.

  • Monitor local media for updates.

  • Review your personal security plans.

  • Avoid crowds and demonstrations.

  • Keep a low profile.

  • Be aware of your surroundings.
