Supplemental Info:
Security at the Fulton County courthouse in downtown Atlanta has been hardened over the past two weeks. Roads around the courthouse have been closed and K-9 units have been surveilling the area in advance of Trump's arrival.
Fencing and barriers are also being installed around the Georgia State Capitol less than two blocks away.
Subscribers are cautioned that tensions are high, as is the potential for demonstrations. This threat environment will likely remain over the coming months. Caution is urged anywhere in the downtown area.
If you will be participating in any public gathering related to this trial, it is strongly recommended that you leave ALL electronic devices that utilize cellular and/or web services at home or in your hotel room. This will help prevent possibly being caught up in a surveillance dragnet operation if demonstrations become violent.
Guidance if in the vicinity:
Follow all law enforcement directives. Identify formal exits and other points of egress. Your head should be on a swivel scanning your surroundings. Change location if you sense agitation or a crowd getting out of control. Avoid standing on or near structures that could collapse. Ideally stay at the edges of a crowd, never in the center. Walk around crowds rather than pushing through them. If caught in a moving crowd, move diagonally towards the edge.
