These planned demonstrations are protests against tightening U.S. immigration policies. Local authorities anticipating participation of a variety of other groups / causes and possible civil unrest. Caution is urged.
Location: Two demonstrations will take place near the consulate in the coming days. Please be aware that on Friday, June 22, 2018, there is an organized demonstration scheduled to take place in front of the U.S. Consulate General starting at 15:00 and lasting approximately 4 hours.
The second demonstration will take place on Monday, June 25, 2018, from 11:00 to 13:00, also in front of the U.S. Consulate General.
Actions to Take:- Avoid the areas of the demonstrations.
- Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
- Monitor local media for updates
- Keep a low profile.
