Security dramatically increasing around United Center arena and McCormick Place Conv. Center in Chicago in advance of DNC Convention, 8/19-22. More via email.

Supplemental Info:

The 2024 Democratic Nat'l Convention will be held in Chicago, IL, August 19-22.
The convention is closed to all but delegates, politicians, media, and volunteers.
The DNC has been deemed a National Special Security Event (NSSE), putting the US Secret Service as the lead agency in charge of the planning, coordination, and implementation of security operations for the event.
The Secret Service and Chicago Police Dept. are preparing for the potential for tens of thousands of protesters to be present for this event.
Caution and vigilance are urged.

If you live in Chicago, allow extra time for travel during the next week.
