Security services rpt ransomware attack has spread to ~70 countries, incl US. Best defense: Do not open unknown links or email atts.., update AV software.

Once a computer is infected, the system is locked and files are encrypted. The unlock key is provided when a $300 ransom is paid using Bitcoin.  Be careful which links you are clicking and email attachments you are opening. Be sure your antivirus software is up to date with virus / malware definitions.
