Supplemental Info:
Groups such as Rise Up For Abortion Rights, Ruth Sent Us, Bride’s March, Dominican Women’s Development Center, Ni Una Menus, and Las 17 are urging protests outside of prominent churches on Sunday, May 8th (Mother's Day), to include groups holding signs, wearing Handmaids Tale outfits, passing flyers to church goers or doing a 'die-in.'
Pro-abortion protests have been growing in size since the draft SCOTUS opinion was leaked earlier this week. Tensions are high and the crowds are increasingly agitated. Numerous politicians are fanning the flames, encouraging the crowds to take action in the streets.
While the groups are directly calling for demonstrations at Catholic churches, protests are possible at any place of worship with an anti-abortion stance. These protests are expected to continue well beyond this weekend.
AlertsUSA encourages subscribers to monitor local news and avoid the demonstrations.
