The audio message was distributed this afternoon through the Islamic State's channel on Telegram (an encrypted messaging application) and via other social media channels. The voice in the message is believed to be the Islamic State's official spokesman, Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer.
"To the brethren of faith and belief in Europe, America, Russia, Australia, and others. Your brothers in your land have done well so take them as role models and do as they have done."
As AlertsUSA has repeatedly warned, we are now in the midst of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan which began Friday, May 26 and runs through to the evening of Saturday, June 24.
Last year, Ramadan was particularly brutal and this year the number of attacks and those killed and injured are climbing fast.
Caution and vigilance are urged when in large public gatherings and around other soft targets. . |
