White House NSC: 'Our assessment at this stage is that the activity represents commercial, hobbyist, or law enf drones, all operating legally and lawfully.'

Supplemental Info:

"We assess that the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and even stars that were mistakenly reported as drones."

The statement was released within the last 30 min by White House National Security Council spokesman Admiral John Kirby. The statement has not yet been added to the White House website.
