The Grenfell Tower was a 24-story block of public housing flats in North Kensington, London, England. Residents were comprised principally by migrants of Middle East and N. African origin. The tower was gutted by fire on June 14, 2017, killing at least 70. While the public face of these protests are regarding issues concerning the quality of public housing, the normal cross section of grabbers and anarchists are making their presence known.

If you are in London, AlertsUSA strongly urges avoiding these gatherings, particularly as night falls. Metropolitan Police expect an increase in violence. Gatherings of this number, particularly in unsecured areas, also present an ideal soft target for any of the varied forms of terror attacks.
