This is a particularly dangerous period as since the year 632 when the prophet Mohammad died, each new Caliph has launched new wars and military campaigns in keeping with the traditions and actions of Mohammad himself. In current times, any replacement for Baghdadi will need to quickly establish himself in a similar fashion in order to be able to influence and grow a global network of followers.
