Subscribers are reminded that the city of Jerusalem is significant in a number of religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. One location in Jerusalem venerated by all three is the Temple Mount, known to Muslims as Al Aqsa, or the Haram esh-Sharif. Islamic tradition holds that the prophet Muhammad visited the site on a steed where he prayed, and then galloped off to visit heaven.
To Muslims, the significance of U.S. decision to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem should not be underestimated. The Islamic State began issuing attack threats within hours of President Trump's 12/6 announcement of U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Israel and the order to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
On 12/7 AlertsUSA subscribers were notified of formal calls by al Qaeda for followers to carry out attacks on America, Israel and "Crusader allies everywhere."
On 12/10 the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon was attacked with protesters calling the US "the enemy of Palestine."
On 21/11 a bomb was detonated at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Soon thereafter, the Islamic State praised the attack and promised there would be more to come as a result of the President's Jerusalem declaration.
On 3/16 a vehicle ramming attack in occurred in Hermesh, Israel killing 2, and injuring 5. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack saying it was in response to US decision to move embassy to Jerusalem.
On 3/17 AlertsUSA subscribers were informed of a new publication by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula calling for attacks on Americans in retaliation for U.S. defense of the Jewish state and recent recognition of Jerusalem as it's capital:

The formal opening of the interim U.S. embassy in Jerusalem is scheduled for May 14, 2018.
