As many Verizon and ATT customers are aware, your carrier networks
have been experiencing serious SMS delivery issues over the last few
weeks. This necessitated AlertsUSA going into scramble mode to
implement alternative methods to assure delivery of our alert messages
to your mobile devices.

While the carriers appear to have been largely resolved their issues this
time around, we fully expect for them to reemerge.

Due to the increasing tempo of their network problems, AlertsUSA is in the
midst of upgrading to a new SMS gateway solution to provide automatic
message rerouting, a new text-to-voice capability to allow our alerts to be
sent to standard landline phones, and more.

As these new capabilities come online, you will be notified via email.

As a result of the start of this work, there will be no weekly update or
Threat Journal issue published this weekend.

The alert service is not affected in any way. We are here, around the
clock, watching the world.
