Supplemental Info:
At present, Florence is barely hanging on as a hurricane due to sheer, but is expected to rapidly intensify in the coming days during it's approach to the eastern seaboard. While it is too early to definitively say the system will make landfall, it clearly has the attention of state and federal agencies. East coast residents from GA to NJ should be paying attention as well.
AlertsUSA is monitoring the situation closely and is in regular touch with the National Hurricane Center and contacts within the naval meteorology and oceanography community.
In turn, we will keep subscribers well informed.
