Supplemental Info:

AlertsUSA reminds subscribers of numerous recent warnings from the U.S. and foreign governments regarding the heightened risk of terrorist attacks.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Al Qaeda is calling on all faithful Muslims to carry out strikes on Jews and Americans in retaliation for events in Gaza.

  • The Islamic State is calling for followers to carry out attacks on Christians and Jews in the US, Europe, and Israel.

  • CBP reports that hundreds of individuals in the Terrorist Screening Dataset (the “watchlist”) have been encountered along the border over the last two years. The FBI and DNI have warned Congress of the existence of an ISIS-affiliated migrant network operating on the US/MX border.

Multiple European nations warn of an increasing Islamic terror threat. The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, France, and Germany have increased their internal defense posture as a result. Britain’s MI5 warns “an attack is likely.”

Just weeks ago, the U.S. State Department issued a holiday security alert warning U.S. citizens abroad to stay alert in public places, including at holiday markets, public transportation sites, and places of worship.

The U.S. State Department also has a Worldwide Caution in effect warning of the ongoing potential for terror attacks, demonstrations, or other violent actions against US citizens and interests globally.

Regardless of whether you are in the U.S. or abroad, it is important to remember that terrorists historically focus on tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, and local government facilities as viable targets for attack. In addition, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, high-profile events, schools, airports, and other soft targets also remain priority targets for possible attacks. Subscribers should exercise a high level of vigilance in these and similar locations, particularly during the remainder of the holiday.
