DHS and the FBI have warned several times over the last few months of an increasing terror threat to the US homeland.
Al Qaeda and the Islamic State continue to issue regular direct threats and calls for attack on those nations supporting or standing in defense of Israel.
Multiple US embassies are urging increased vigilance and a low profile.
Pro-Palestine protesters are likely to take advantage of the holiday by blocking freeways and major thoroughfares, particularly near airports.
Monitor local news and leave ample transportation time.
