Both documentaries and fictional films can add value to your journey as an entrepreneur.

Startup.com
 
Synopsis: A documentary from 2001 that looks at the rise (and subsequent fall) of the startup GovWorks. It follows the dotcom period and the way friendships can be strained or ruined by business partnerships.
Names you will recognize: The documentary includes footage of Kaleil Isaza Tuzman and Tom Herman.
Why you should watch it: This film delves into a lot of the areas that are important to an entrepreneur such as financing, capital raising, and growth management.


Catch Me If You Can
 
Synopsis: This film is an embellished telling of the fantastical life of con artist Frank Abagnale. His charm and masterful skills of deception opened doors for Abagnale where he was able to profit and scheme his way into many different jobs. This adaptation of a true story follows Abagnale and the FBI agent that was charged with bringing him down. 
Names you will recognize: Actor Leonardo DiCaprio plays the lead role of Frank Abagnale, and Tom Hanks plays the FBI agent. 
Why you should watch it: While used for nefarious purposes, Abignale’s innovation and creativity are a marvelous skill set that is in keeping with the entrepreneural spirit.


The Social Network
 
Synopsis: Based on the origin of Facebook, this film follows Mark Zuckerberg’s rise, from a student at Harvard to the creator of the most-used social networking site. It chronicles his legal battles with the two brothers that claim he stole the idea, and his former best friend that was kicked out of the budding company.
Names you will recognize: The film is directed by the celebrated David Fincher, and it stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake,  and Andrew Garfield.
Why you should watch it: This movie is a good reminder to the entrepreneurial mind that hugely successful endeavors all started somewhere modest.
