| SEED began as a conservation organisation and with this year marking our 20 year anniversary we wanted to take our festive appeal back to our roots. This appeal will be highlighting some of the unique and spectacular species that we work with in Madagascar. These species have been chosen by our team, and we hope to introduce you to what makes them so amazing and how important they are to the ecosystem in Madagascar. How many do you recognise? |

Friday 30th October is World Lemur Day, and the SEED team will be marking the day with a series of events, both in Madagascar and online. In Sainte Luce, we’ll be screening a Madagascar wildlife documentary to children from the village and visiting officials.

| Clean hands were the order of the day last week when SEED celebrated World Handwashing Day across the whole Anosy region. Mamitiana and the team were out in force doing hand washing demonstrations, competitions with soap for rewards, radio broadcasts and of course, lots of celebrations. With over 17,000 people trained in handwashing and over 11,000 people trained in building contactless handwashing stations, we’re doing everything we can to raise awareness of the health benefits of good handwashing. |
