Closings Savvy buyers continued snapping up handyman specials, dominating last week's very healthy $15.3 million in closings. The average home sold for just $1.3 million and $301 per square foot. The weighted average year of construction was 1986. New Listings As we approach the New Year, you'll note there are several "recycled" properties in the listings. That is, homes that didn't sell in their previous listings, or in some cases after numerous listings. So there are 18 new listings this week, though some may cause a sense of déjà vu.
A few standouts that I would recommend seeing sooner than later:
Newly Built Soft Contemporary Perfect for car collectors with a 7 car garage, this 5 bedroom single level contemporary home on a flat lot was built in 2014. Tastefully designed with quality details -- wine room and Chef's kitchen are especially noteworthy. Offered at $3.75 million.
Two Mid Century Modern Modern Fixer Uppers If you're a fan of this style, and want something you can put your signature on, these are worth a look. Both priced around $1 million with lots of potential.
