Subject: Paradise Valley Weekly - 15 New Listings, Mortgage Rate Drop, Apple Arizona Factory Update

Lots of interesting news this week:

1. Apple bought equipment to make up to 200 million iPhone screens in Arizona. This continuing commitment to our region from Apple is incredibly positive for our economy and our real estate market. For full coverage on this subject please click here

2. Mortgage rates fell for a 5th week in a row. If you're out shopping for a home, now may be a good time to lock your rate. Full coverage on rates can be found here.

3. Millionaires are wary of stocks after their recent run, and moving into real estate. That's according to Morgan Stanley's survey of high net worth clients. To read more please click here.

Closings
Closings leapt back from the lull of last week to $12.3 million, with large deals across the board -- the average sale price was just under $2.5 million. The average price per square foot was also quite healthy at $361 for homes built on average in 1999.

It's also worth noting that even at these large dollar amounts, the closing prices weren't far off from asking prices. That indicates that even for multi-million dollar properties there is a more balanced market between buyers and sellers than a year ago. For example a home listed at $5.75 million sold for $5.43 million this week, a discount of 5.5% -- a respectable concession, but clearly the sellers held their ground and buyers paid up compared to what might have happened a year ago.

15 new listings this week ranging from $775k to $16 million. The homes that are especially noteworthy:
