Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the national TV news story millions saw on digitizing pictures. Many asked what it was like being live on the set of the legendary Today Show.
On Thursday, ScanMyPhotos made a big splash on The Today Show! One of the hosts, Dylan Dreyer, entrusted us with her childhood memories for digitization. But guess what? A creative producer kept the surprise under wraps, planning a big reveal on air! The surprise was pure magic when Dylan finally saw her childhood photos and movies on TV. Millions shared the emotional moment, reminding everyone why preserving those precious photo memories is essential.
Sneaky producer keeps surprise for weeks.
Emotional reveal on The Today Show.
Millions witness a heartwarming moment.
Several weeks ago, we digitized photos and vintage home movie film reels for the host, Dylan Dreyer. But she never saw them, even though we added express same-day scanning. The reason? A genius producer kept them from her so she could see her baby photos and movies for the first time live on air, and she was surprised, exclaiming, "That's ME!"
The NBC News production setup is massive, with a vast staff behind the cameras. We passed through extensive exterior security and encountered numerous food stations offering fancy gourmet treats.
Everyone in the famed NBC Studio 1A, overlooking New York's Rockefeller Center, is highly professional. Their excitement filled the air as the live countdown approached. Celebrities are scattered around, seemingly unfazed, each accompanied by their entourage of staff and managers.
Despite the calm atmosphere, once the show goes to commercial, the scene transforms into a flurry of activity, with everyone passionately communicating (friendly yelling). It's remarkable how composed they appear, considering they're about to address millions of viewers.
