In our times of struggle, we can request the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary with the Memorare Prayer below.
October is Respect Life Month, and Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann of Kansas City in Kansas and chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Committee on Pro-Life Activities has issued a statement encouraging Catholics to allow “the Gospel of Christ to touch and transform our own hearts and the decisions we make.”
Prayer to God the Father of All Life (Priests for Life):
Eternal God, You have revealed Yourself as the Father of all Life. We praise You for the Fatherly care which You extend to all creation, and especially to us, made in Your image and likeness.
Father, extend Your Hand of protection to those threatened by abortion, and save them from its destructive power. Give Your Strength to all fathers, that they may never give in to the fears that may tempt them to facilitate abortion. Bless our families and bless our land, that we may have the joy of welcoming and nurturing the life of which You are the Source and the Eternal Father. Amen. Memorare to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
