Subject: Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary

Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary December 8.

Dear Friend,

Celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception!

The Immaculate Conception, according to the teaching of the Catholic Church, was the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. Mary was conceived naturally, but God kept her soul immaculate--that is, free from original sin. The official confirmation by the Catholic Church was defined in 1854 by Pope Pius IX.

"The Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, was preserved exempt from all stain of original sin by a singular privilege and grace granted by God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race." - Pope Pius IX.

Mary conceived without original sin, pray for us who have recourse to you!
Pray the Memorare to Mary below.

Memorare

Remember, O most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, My Mother.  To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.  O Mother, of the word incarnate, despise not my petition, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

May God Bless and Watch Over You and Your Loved Ones!
