For those of you that do not know us, please allow us to introduce ourselves.
My name is Chris Shaefer. This is my wife Sandy and she is smooching on one of our silly goats named Gracie Ann! Our son Christian is in New York operating Silly Goats Soap of NY! Our daughter Sarah, is just turning 18 and is contemplating the next phase of her young life.
We have a small farm here in South Central Kentucky. We just bought this beautiful place after selling our farm in upstate New York. After 20+ years in the freezing cold winters , along with 150 inches of snow every winter. We moved south.
Sandy & I have been married for over 10 years now and God has continually kept us on our toes. Who would have ever guessed we would be milking goats for a living, running our own business and be in southern Kentucky, but here we are and loving it! |

How Did We Get To Where We Are Today?
In case you didn't know we own & operate Silly Goats Soap Company. We make hand-made goat milk soap, goat milk lotion, along with a host of other natural skin care products.
We started this endeavor because we wanted to share the moisturizing and healing qualities of goat milk, natural oils butters, pure essential oils and we wanted to make it affordable for all of us average, everyday Americans.
Everything that has goat milk in it, comes from our herd of Silly Goats. We raise Lamancha goats where they live a happy life eating hay and alfalfa from our fields here on the farm. We milk them daily and what we do not use for drinking, ice cream, yogurt, candy and cheeses, we package, freeze and store to make all of our wonderful goat milk products. | | Some good friends of ours had made a wonderful line of candles and built a growing group of loyal followers but, life is ever. changing. They decided to downsize and simplify, and they were looking to sell. God gives us opportunities when we are ready for them and when this opportunity came up and after deliberate prayer, we knew it was for us.
Rustic yet classy, natural soy candles with wooden wicks and awesome fragrances, just go so well with our current line of natural skin care products.
Try one of our Goat Milk Bath Bombs in a hot tub, with some mellow music, while relaxing to one of our Rustic Wick Crackling Candles!
Again, we loved the Rustic Wick line but, we did want to make a couple changes to better reflect our brand and lifestyle.
The biggest changes we made were: - We added the Wooden Wicks with the premium boost strip.
- Updated the company logo.
- Re-worked the labels to give them a fresher, more modern look.
- Changed a couple of the fragrance offers and kept the best sellers.
- Built a new web site, for easier navigation, fresh feel and better checkout process.
