This week seems the return of Harriet, but no longer the solo artiste but now a duo featuring Neil, formerly from Steel Threads which should put a great new perspective on the proceedings, expect covers and original material in the mix! (see attached poster)
HARRIET! is a must-see. She is a 21-year-old, singer-songwriter from Derby who has a fresh, unique sound and a genre that's hard to place; but can be described as a cross between 'Modern Country' and 'Acoustic Rock'. She has a very distinctive, characteristic yet innocent voice with rock chick/smoky undertones and her original songs are sure to get your feet tapping! Within her performances, she also tends to include a few well-known cover songs from artists such as Pink Floyd, Gnarles Barkley, Skunk Anansie, Hozier, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Evanescence, The White Stripes and many more – each performed with her own sensational twist and sound.
Harriet has had nine years of live performing experience and you can tell this through the relationship she makes with her audiences. She always engages with the crowd with passionate performances and gets them singing along to a few songs as well as other exciting, energetic crowd participation.
Harriet is a BBC Introducing Artist and has many unique, catchy, heart-felt, tear-jerking and comedic original songs that have stirred a lot of attention; she has a large following in the Midlands as well as a huge Internet following from people all around the world.
'HARRIET!' has also featured at many festivals such as The Edinburgh Fringe, Y Not Festival, Maiwoche Festival in Germany, Americana International Festival, Acoustic Festival of Britain, Nottingham Riverside Festival, PEAK 2015, Derby CAMRA Beer Festival, The National Brewery Festival, The Great British Food Festival and many more. With more booked for 2016!
A quick note to say how awesome HYMN FOR HER were on their return to the music club last Sunday and I think we might have convinced them to return when they next tour the UK and Europe!!!!!!!
