| Always trying to keep the music fresh, this week we have a first time visit from VENUS RISING, Folk rockers from Stoke who have just released their debut single lazy days on Global Path records that has received attention from BBC presenter Mark Radcliffe, and are lined up for various folk festivals this year!

Up and coming Cheshire folk rockers Venus Rising are delighted to be making their Dog and Partridge debut on March 19th 2017! Their bassist Steve Lewis and singer/guitarist Sheena Bratt will play a duo set of upbeat covers and originals, aiming to put a smile on your face and get your feet tapping!
Their debut 2015 single 'Lazy Daze' (Global Path Records) was aired on the national BBC Introducing Mixtape, and on BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson show, Kim Wilde tweeted that she loves the track, and Mark Radcliffe selected them to play Knutsford Beer Festival last year (which they also played this year), saying afterwards: 'If you like your folk music, have a good listen to Venus Rising.'
They have played live extensively at places including BBC Radio Stoke, Moorlands FM, The Cat FM, Signal FM, The Sugarmill, The Box, Bristol VegFest, The Acoustic Festival of Britain (2015 & 16), Cloud 9, countless Staffordshire/Cheshire festivals and a huge number pubs, clubs and events. They've shared lineups with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Paul Carrack, Midge Ure, Paul Young, Bruce Foxton, Galleon Blast, Merry Hell, and many more.
The following week Sunday 26th March bluesman PAUL EVANS returns with his electric blues trio, aptly named THE PAUL EVANS TRIO!!

RAT PACK NIGHT Tuesday 23RD MAY
Johnny Victory returns for another trip down memory lane, this time it’s a bit of Frank, Dean & Sammy!. The last one was described by many as the best night they had been to at the Dog, it was that good!
We are limited to 50 places, £20 a head, first come first served with a five pound deposit per person!
The two course meal will have an American Diner theme and doors open at 8pm, so “Start spreading the news!”

You might remember over a year ago we received a visit from this amazing Canadian singer, well she’s back on tour and we have managed to obtain the last remaining date on the tour!
She’s that great I put my hand in my very deep pockets and found the cash to enable this to be a free one-off week night gig!
Come and see what all the fuss is about, book a meal and she will entertain you from 9pm onwards, alternatively chip up and fill the bar!!

Now up and running since Thursday a few tweaks a few new and interesting dishes for you to try, so why not book and give it a try!!

Yes it’s almost here! A week Friday 24th March, if you came to the last one you’ll know what a great night it was!
We have another dozen or so Gins for you to try as well as the firm favourites, We start from around 7pm and it’s free admission!

We have secured some more UTTOXETER BREW CO “final Furlong” which will be up and ready to go by Wednesday, we also have BEACON HILL (EVERARDS), A SLAP IN THE FACE, PASSION FRUIT IN THE FACE (TOTALLY BREWED), GBA (GATE’S), MAGNUM IPA (ROBINSONS) TWO HOOTS (HOLTS) , plenty to go at!!
