Well the feed back for the BACKLINE BLUES BAND was tremendous and yes we will be bringing them back later in the year rest assured.
This coming Sunday, in a whole month of newcomers, we are pleased to welcome THE LOL GOODMAN BAND, so if you enjoyed the last lot I know you are going to like these guys.
Here is an abbreviated version of their biog...
Appearing at 5.30pm we’ll be playing tracks from all our critically acclaimed albums including the latest; “Just Wanna Say … a little bit more” and featuring our second single “Live My Life with the Blues”.
One of the first gigs to feature the new six piece line-up:- Lol Goodman – lead guitar & vocals, Phil Barrett – Hammond organ and guitar, James Horrocks – Bass, New drummer - Tony Crabtree and The Cougars, Andrea & Jane - Backing Vocals.

MARCHINGTON MELEE 9
The buzz is building nicely with one or two customers telling me they are organising Taxis and Minibuses to attend the event so it’s all looking good with only four weeks to go!!
As reported last week UTTOXETER BREWING CO are brewing two beers especially for the event and we have rounded up a few more Staffordshire based Breweries for the event too.
Band-wise, you’ve seen the poster, it’s a cracking line up!
Each week leading up to the event we said we would try and give you information and links to the bands, well this week check out……….HOLY MOLY & THE CRACKERS!!

Described as Gypsy Folk Rock and recently played at Marchington Village Hall as part of the Live & Local Scheme where they played to a full house, well come and see them again and it’s FREE!

CHEESE AND WINE NIGHT
About 15 places left for a week Thursday 23rd Feb at 7.30 pm, it’s a fiver a head (not five ounces as quoted in the Parish Magazine- is that a typo I hear you ask?????) for your cheese and wine which is subsidised and you get far more for your money!

VALENTINE'S NIGHT
Interestingly quite a few are opting for this Tuesday Night as opposed to the nearest weekend night which is often the case.
We have some places left, we are pushing the boat out on the starters and desserts but it won’t be the three course meal deal everyone seems to be bartering for, items are individually priced and you can choose how many courses you wish to add.
I see many restaurants taking full page adverts for this evening, what can I say there goes any profit you might have made!! So we don’t but we will do you proud on the food front and we do have a rose each for the ladieeees!!!!! 01283-820394

A lot of good beers and for those who are chomping at the bit TIM TAYLOR LANDLORD will be on from Thursday (probably gone by Friday)
Also Sharp’s new beer SEA FURY, A couple from Uttoxeter brewing co, and something from RCH brewing co and Cottage brewery
