| Marchington Music Club (A Real Scoop)
If you have to find someone to replace a double-booked GWYN ASHTON then look no further than.... GLORY DAYS FOR VILLAGE PUB A village venue is celebrating a major live music coup as it launches its summer season of gigs. The free-admission Sunday Sessions at the Dog & Partridge, Church Lane, Marchington, have already attracted a stellar line up of touring and local acts. And the summer line-up kicks off on Sunday, July 5, with a rare acoustic outing for Glory Days – the UK’s top Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band tribute act. Landlord Paul Needham says: “The band has been playing for more over 15 years and is made up of Springsteen fans who wanted to capture the live Springsteen experience - no lookalikes, just the music!” The line-up will take you on a blast down Thunder Road playing all the 'classics' on the way. They are more than likely to throw in a few choice album tracks too. They’ll rock for over three hours when they're allowed to give you an authentic Springsteen experience.
The band, who also play Derby Flowerpot on Saturday night with their full line-up, have included just about everything in their sets over the years … a great mix of songs old and new, from Jungleland and Thunder Road to The River and Promised Land, they pick from the best back catalogue around.
