MARCHINGTON MUSIC CLUB (SUNDAYS FROM 5.30PM)
Sadly the weather forced the cancellation of Sunday's visit of D.H. LAWRENCE & THE SKIFFLE GROUP, who we hope to re-schedule as soon as possible in the new year! Still chalk it up to life I suppose!
Weather permitting, this coming Sunday sees the return of KEITH BUCK of the excellent duo HATFIELD & BUCK. Sadly, Ray has a family commitment he has to attend but both are such excellent musicians in their own right it isn’t a set back and Keith will no doubt be as excellent solo as he is as part of the beloved duo.
See for yourself - starts 5.30 pm!
This is the last Session before New Year so another good reason to attend!

| NEW YEAR'S EVE
I have never known such a year of non-committal, loads of phone enquiries, requests to reserved tickets etc.
Three weeks to go, it’s time to pee or get off the pot, because half the tickets have gone and there WILL be a last minute panic that will leave some people moaning when ALL the tickets have suddenly gone!!

If you are coming to Carwash this is probably another upbeat night tailored to yourselves.

ALCOHOLIC HAMPER
For the third year running we are donating a hamper packed with booze it will be on display in the shop this week and you will be able to buy raffle tickets right up to Christmas Eve!
Now in situ, please go and have a go on the raffle, it’s a good hamper, full of booze!!!!!!!!
Give generously all proceeds go to the shop’s coffers!!!!!!!!
QUIZ OF THE YEAR!
Yes we are doing it all over again with MC MARRISON at the helm!
Thursday 28th December, teams of four, tenner a team admission!
Had numerous enquiries about table reservations, sadly this isn’t going to be possible, so it’s first come first served!
Also a few enquiries about food, like last year, because the event is so well attended usual food service will be suspended for the evening!
Proceeds to the Alms houses restoration fund!!
Spot prizes and raffle too! Starts 8pm

| MELEE 11 Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th March 2018
A word to the wise, come along and enjoy this one as there may not be a Summer one in 2018 or going forward. Main reasons being that many people are away during the Summer months and finding a good slot has been a slog and often all the effort put in doesn’t reap all the rewards we would like.
We also feel that the events at the Village hall now over shadow this event and prove a better fund raising scheme than the Melee does.
But the Winter one will stay and hopefully continue to be well supported.
