MARCHINGTON MUSIC CLUB (SUNDAYS FROM 5.30PM)
This week plays host the raucous homeboy SHAMUS OBLIVION, expect Morris men on acid and you sort of get the picture!!
Starts around 5.30pm. Looks like everyone is over the stop in being miserable/dry Jan trauma and are starting to venture out at last!!
The following week see the return of IDLE FIRES who really impressed on their debut at the Sunday Club last year and I feel sure they will do it again this time around.
They sent this recent update……
The band has changed format since we last spoke – we are currently still running under the same name but without Simon the lead singer – who has decided to focus on another project (all amicable). We now have Steve Giddings as lead singer /guitarist with myself on bass/vocals and my brother luke on guitar/percussion and the set is more ‘roots’ and ‘blues’ based music – examples:- Black magic woman, thrill is gone, congo square, California stars, everybody’s talkin, honky tonk woman, all along the watch tower, hey joe, solid air etc.

The following weeks we have some newcomers, the highly recommended WE STEAL FLYERS who have a fantastically detailed website with everything you need to know on it, have a glegg at www.westealflyers.co.uk and if that wasn’t enough taking us into March a real scoop JO CARLEY & THE DRY SKULLS drop by as part of a uk tour.

| MARCHINGTON MELEE 11 BEER & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th March
Posters are out and about and as this will be the only Melee this year I would come on down and soak up the atmosphere.
We have the bands, we have the beer, we just want your company……….
