Hi there,
Firstly, a big thank you to all involved in Marchington Village Shop for their kind letter of thanks for our help in fund raising activities, it’s been a pleasure!
And now with a large grant looming to help with all the future improvements, we turn our sights onto the next needy cause, the Alms houses and in future months we will do our bit - starting in the next couple of weeks via selling of beakers at the next beer festival for a one-off price of £1.50 with proceeds going to said funds………… Which leads on nicely to……………… |

MARCHINGTON MELEE 8 (August 4th - 7th)
Last minute preparations are being made, the beers all start arriving this week, and the top quality burgers have been ordered!
A mention of our Saturday night headliner KINGSTON TOWN, who (with a name like that) will be paying tribute to classic pop/reggae act UB.40 !!
Old friends of mine, we go way back to the 80’s when these guys were together the brilliant ska band SKA-BOOM, they really have the tribute down to a tee!!

Marchington Music Club
A change from the advertised program for this week’s music club, sadly Jason Callear won’t be able to join us but fortunately we have found a worthy replacement in our old mate L’IL JIM !!!!!

After months of trials and tribulations, we may have finally found our man,chef-wise, in the form of HANY OSMAN who joined us last week and has some great ideas and things to bring to the menu!
We will be re-vamping our menu again soon to accommodate some of his new dishes, watch this space!
