Marchington Music Club
As part of our local heroes selection of gigs over the coming weeks, showcasing the talent around the local area, the first up are a band known as THE DELTA ECHOES who I think have pretty much played everywhere local in the past few months since their formation but not at the Grand Old Opry of Uttoxeter that is the Dog & Partridge!
This will be rectified this coming Sunday from 5.30 when they finally take to our stage, so come on down and give them plenty of encouragement!
They don’t seem to have a band website as yet but there are u-tube videos and Facebook items on line that will give you a flavour of what they are all about, alternatively take a flyer-come and have a look! You know this is the best way to spend time between 5-8pm on a Sunday………the tennis, football and grand prix are over!

MARCHINGTON MELEE 8 (August 4th - 7th)
Only three weeks to go, here’s an update for you, first band on Saturday evening is the great Blues duo DOUBLE CROSS who blew everyone away on their debut gig at the music club a few months ago!
And yes they have a very good website www.doublecross.org.uk all you need to know can be found there!
They will hit the stage around 7.30-ish Saturday night August 6th………….. And it’s FREE!!
Proceeds from beaker sales will be directed on this occasion to the coffers of the local shop and Marchington Alms houses to assist with renovations!!
If everyone could forward this information to everyone they know, we could earn a few quid for local Charities while have a bit of fun and a few laughs!

Tickets are about to go on sale this week, available from both the D&P and MARCHINGTON VILLAGE SHOP priced at a steal £10.00 each advance, there has been a lot of interest in this gig so get in early!! Again a retro 80’s/90’s disco and fancy dress is optional but there will be prizes and fund raising on the night!!

Taking a year off from the spooky stuff for a year for a bit of a break but we have an exciting fund raising night planned for around that time, more news shortly!!
