Help for Folks with Physical Challenges (or not)

I wanted to pass along some helpful information.  A friend recently had a stroke, and reached out to me for ideas.

I've had some health challenges recently also, including severe neuropathy in my hands that affects my ability to use the keyboard and mouse. I cannot "touch type" anymore - I have been relegated to hunt-and-peck using 2 index fingers. I still type 40 words per minute, but 39 of them are backspaces (ha).

Some tools that I have found helpful:

Jitbit Autotext - create "keyboard shortcuts"

  • free download, personal license is free. About $20 for business license
  • You can use on multiple computers if you export/import the xml file
  • VIDEO DEMO of Jitbit Autotext http://somup.com/cY6j2ult6y
  • Access my shortcut fields and examples

AutoFill - formfill automation tool

  • free Chrome or Firefox plug-in
  • VIDEO DEMO of Autofill: http://somup.com/cY6jIdlthc
  • See the fields I have created in a TEMPLATE, which I duplicate and fill in for each new promotion (works with just about every safelist and traffic site)

Roboform - userid and passwords

  • About $20 for Roboform Everywhere - automatically synchs to multiple computers, tablets, phones

HitsConnect - Banner rotator

  • I define my banners in HitsConnect and post the HitsConnect bannerurl and targeturl (only http:// not https:/)
  • If I want to change a banner or redirect to another landing page, I make the changes in HitsConnect and it propagates to all sites instantly.
  • I post mostly BANNER ROTATORS so I can add/delete them effortlessly without having to go to individual sites.

Logitech external programmable keyboard
I have the function keys F1 to F6 remapped

  • F1 select all
  • F2 copy selected
  • F3 paste
  • F4 cut selected
  • F5 Google Sheets Copy-Down cell
  • F6 Google Sheets Clear Formatting of selected cells

These are GREAT tools and techniques even if you are NOT experiencing physical challenges.

Don't be cheap about this: if it is a tool you would use EVERY DAY, $20 is a small price to pay for the enablement and enhanced productivity you get by using them.
