Subject: 4 Ways to Build Wealth

A friend sent me a YouTube video today about a building wealth opportunity and asked my thoughts. is it a scam?

Now there are a bunch of due diligence steps one can take - some are easy and some are hard. The video was compelling. Then I read the LinkedIn profile - an NLP practitioner = well skilled at  getting you to reframe the way you think.

What really got me was the business is not quite two years old that would teach you 4 ways to build wealth - property, trading, ecommerce and entrepreneurship.  That is a lot of stuff.

About a year ago I wrote a blog post about building wealth. there are 4 ways - I will summarise them here - save you reading the blog post.,
  1. Build a career from age 25 (or less) and save like crazy
  2. Get to executive level in an organisation (could be public service) and save like crazy
  3. Invest in property
  4. Build a business.
For many of us 1 and 2 are long gone. If not, just learn how to save like crazy (and then invest well).  Property takes capital - if you have no capital or cannot borrow capital, that is a dead duck too.

That leaves build a business. Well that is not a dead duck if one has time and some resources to get started and the discipline to do the work. Yes. It takes work.

That brings me back to the offer my friend sent me. 4 ways to build wealth. Property is not going to work without capital. The ecommerce idea was drop shipping - buying stuff in volume from China and shipping to your market. Truth is Amazon has been quietly squeezing out all the drop shippers that are succeeding. And it takes a lot of working capital. That ain't what it used to be - and it takes big cash to build a brand.

The two ideas I talked about yesterday do fit into the build a business category.

Affiliate marketing can be a great business. The key to success lies in getting access to high ticket items to promote and in time in building your own products and getting affiliates to sell them for you.

My partner, Dean Holland is now successful doing that. He will give you access to his high ticket products. He gives excellent training with all the tools. Good news is he is running a 2020 Quick Start Challenge starting December 8. In 7 days he will show you what you need and help you build it.

What about trading?

You can build a business trading. The challenge is it is not that easy. You have to conquer your own psychology AND it does take capital. The good news is you can win being right only 50 to 55% of the time and you can compound your profits really well.

That means you can start smallish and grow a sizeable income in time.

I did make a video about some trading basics - watch that first and test out if you think you are made for trading.

I did download the free system I mentioned yesterday. I understand how it works and I did try it out one one trade - my first trade was a loser (all $1.37) but I did understand it. Tomorrow I will do two things - write up a blog post for the trend trading video AND review the free system (it is also a trend trading system).

ps I did include a link to the free trading system in the video description over at YouTube.
